"No Estás Solo" Support Group
We host a support group for the growing Venezuelan Community here in New York. The purpose of the support groups is to build a community between Venezolanos and to provide support and resources to those in need. Currently, this group is focused on building a support network for asylum seekers here in NYC.
Session Information: The group sessions are held on Zoom every Thursday at 7:00 pm.

"Nuestros Heroes" Support Group
The Nuestros Héroes Project (“Our Heroes”) is a support group that provides a safe and welcoming space for Latino workers who served at Ground Zero after 9/11.
Session Information: These sessions are free, held in-person every other Monday 4:00 pm, and are open to everyone in New York State. Click here to view our page for more information about Nuestros Heroes and how to sign up.

Saturday Support Group
We are partnered with local shelter to provide a support group for women living in shelters.
Session Information: These sessions are free, held in-person every Saturday at 11:00 am over an 8 week period this summer. These sessions are full, however, we hope to expand this program to a new offering this fall.

Free Immigration Consultations
Our team has connected with Jose Rojas, an attorney, who will be offering free immigration consultations through the Venezuelan Alliance.
Session Information: Consultations will be held twice a month on Fridays from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. One to three clients could be seen in that time frame. The consultation will be offered via Zoom. Click here to make an appointment.

Case Management
Our case management support includes trauma-informed counseling services for individuals, families, and group services. Not only do we provide therapy, but we are here to provide safety and emotional security while accompanying clients through this journey.

Advocacy Work
Venezuelan Alliance is part of the Venezuelan leadership advocates in New York City. We meet with public officials and legislators to bring voices to the needs of the Venezuelan community.
Additionally, we collaborate closely with our community alliances to provide inter-agency referrals through hospitals, schools, and more, establishing strong community connections.
